The DC distribution board is the "energy dispatch center" that connects the lithium battery system with various electrical equipment on board, undertaking core functions such as energy distribution, voltage conversion, and safety protection.
It is based on a DC bus and integrates the incoming unit, feeder unit, conversion unit, and protection unit through modular design.
On the safety level, the DC distribution board is equipped with fast fuses, insulation monitoring devices, and arc protection systems, which can cut off short-circuit fault circuits in milliseconds to prevent safety risks caused by overcurrent or insulation failure in the lithium battery system. At the same time, through linkage with the battery management system (BMS), it achieves graded unloading protection in case of overload, prioritizing the continuous operation of key loads such as the propulsion system.
It is the core equipment that maintains the stable, efficient, and safe operation of the entire ship's DC power system.
